Mitchell Harris is a graduate of Duke University with a BS in Biology. After leaving college, Mitch joined Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Company as a sales representative in Newport News, Virginia. After experiencing much success in Virginia, he was quickly recognized as a leader and promoted to various positions. Mitchell Harris is currently a Manager for Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Company in the Acute Care Division with responsibility for the State of Florida. Although Mitch has a very busy career, he has always had time to work with young people. He has been a youth leader in every city he lived in (Newport News, Tampa, Indianapolis, Detroit, Birmingham, and Atlanta).

 

Originally from upstate New York but raised in Tampa, Florida, Tony LaColla attended Florida State University to earn his Bachelor's Degree in International Affairs. After earning a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from FSU, Mr. LaColla served as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in La Paz, Bolivia working on sustainable eco-tourism is several rural areas of Bolivia.  This life changing experience has propelled Mr. LaColla into life dedicated to making his community a better place.

Mr. LaColla is currently a Senior Planner/Public Participation Manager with the Hillsborough County City-County Planning Commission which is responsible for long range comprehensive planning for Hillsborough County and its cities.  In addition to his full time job, Mr. LaColla is Chair of the 700 member American Planning Association Sun Coast Section, serves as a Board Member on the Ybor City Development Corporation, and is President of the Historic Ybor Neighborhood Civic Association.

 

 

Dr. Michael Fountain currently serves as the Director of the University of South Florida’s Center for Entrepreneurship. In the College of Business Administration, he serves as the John & Beverley Grant Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurship and is the Director of Graduate Entrepreneurial Studies.

On a national level, he is the Director of the National Consortium for Life Sciences Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneur in Residence at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, and a member of the educational advisory board for the Kauffman Venture Capital Fellows Program.

 
Randy Sterns' principal area of practice at Bush Ross Gardner Warner & Rudy is commercial transactions, representing commercial entities from the start up of a business through the sale of the enterprise including tax controversies, securities, incorporations, partnerships, contract negotiations, licensing and trademark law.

While obtaining his legal education at Willamette University, Mr. Sterns was a member of the Willamette University Law Review. After graduating from law school, he served as a Legislative Assistant and Legal Counsel to U.S. Senator Mark O. Hatfield from 1979 to 1984. Mr. Sterns is also an active NCAA, NAIA, JUCO and high school basketball official.

 

Lucious Davis is the Manager of the Neighborhood Service Center of the Hillsborough County Health and Social Services. Mr. Davis has served Hillsborough County for 17 years and has held his current position for the past 12 years. Mr. Davis is responsible for overall leadership and operation of the facility; which includes programs, mainetenance, human resources strategic planning, performance objectives and customer service.

Lucious Davis attended Albany State University where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.

 
 
Dr. Deborah Harris is President and CEO of Deborah Harris, Inc. She was formerly an Associate Professor at the University of South Florida in Tampa in the Department of Special Education. Her major areas of research focused on collaboration and intrinsic motivation.

As a professional orator, Dr. Harris has traveled extensively addressing topics on communication, cultural diversity, collaboration, leadership, and job excellence, to name a few. Her motto is "Where there is no vision, there is no hope. Where there is no hope, there is no growth. When we cease to grow, we cease to exist."

 
Marsha-Ann Strand is the Founder of Youth Empowered to Achieve! Mrs. Strand earned her Masters in Business Administration from the University of South Florida along with certificates in Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Management and International Business. Mrs. Strand also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Public Sector Management from the University of the West Indies. Mrs. Strand is an international Youth Developmental Specialist and is a certified Youth Entrepreneurship Facilitator and Master Trainer.

While completing her MBA, Marsha-Ann Strand assisted in the research of the "Effects of Teaching Entrepreneurship at the Pre-Collegiate Level." This experience, along with her passion for youth and business, lead to the establishment of Youth Empowered to Achieve! Inc.
