"Completing my thesis through YEA! has been a wonderful experience. My responsibilities are to help with the marketing aspect of YEA!, from helping to re-launch the website to writing letters of thanks for donations.

Working with YEA! I have gotten hands-on, real-life experience of how marketing works for a non-profit organization."

"Completing my honors thesis at YEA! was more than I ever imagined it would be. It's like YEA! bridged the gap between the classroom theory and the practical experience I thought I would get only after graduation.  Now I have my BSc in Engineering from USF and I am ready for the corporate world. I had an interview and they were very interested in my internship at YEA! I told them all about it and they offered me a job. YEA!!!!"

"My thesis project has involved working with the area surrounding the YEA! center. My first step in my thesis project was writing a grant, which we received $2,500 for. The money we received from this grant was then put towards a neighborhood clean-up. This clean-up took place on February 27th and it involved many of the neighborhood kids."

"Working with YEA! has taught me many practical features of life by working alot closer with people in the community rather than just studying what others have done or practicing an art as instructed.

After my thesis I had the privilege of being hired as the first Program Manager at YEA!  Now that I am in medical school I go back to volunteer once a week.  The YEA! experience continues.

"It is very difficult as a student to see the effects of your work. Doing my thesis through YEA! I have been able to see that my actions have concrete consequences. I have never been in a position to effect change in such a drastic manner. "
