Project FACIA is a partnership between the University of South Florida Institute on Black Life and faith-based and non-faith-based organizations around the Tampa Bay areas. The program targets low income students from underperforming schools in Hillsborough County (including private schools).
The YEA! FACIA program began in 2007 and enrolled 47 students within the first 3 months. Our most recent success story is Quijuana, a 3rd grader who has improved her grades to straight A's since joining our program in October.
Our program continues to grow and so does our need for your help. In addition to our need for dedicated volunteers to assist with homework help from 2:30- 4:30, we are also committed to providing healthy snacks for these children.
Help us by becoming a 'Sponsor of the Month'. Your tax-deductible donation of $500 will feed up to 100 children per month with a healthy snack as we feed their appetite for knowledge and improved academic performance.
